More InTechgration - Dance Dance Revolution

Anyone that knows me know that I love anything with a rhythm and a beat! Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) is a new and exciting way for me integrate what I love and technology and share it with students. What does DDR entail? In DDR players stand on a "dance platform" or stage and hit colored arrows laid out in a cross  with their feet to musical and visual cues. Players are judged by how well they time their dance to the patterns presented to them and are allowed to choose more music to play to if they receive a passing score.

Why and How DDR should be used in school?

DDR is a very engaging activity. It includes appeals to everyone students, parents, teachers and parents alike.  DDR includes musics that are fit to a modern or classic crowd as along as you can step to it DDR includes it.
You can start a “Step if you can Step if you dare” program similar to "Step Across America", where the whole school can participate even administration and teachers. In this program, you can use different incentives maybe gold coins maybe coupons to a health spa in town, that say if you get a certain amount of steps you can earn this.
DDR is a great way to boost heart rates and boost smiles
